What’s in my camera bag – Angela Kraan

My name is Angela Kraan, and I live in The Netherlands. Photography has fascinated me as long as I can remember. During my many travels, I was always filming with a video camera or taking snapshots with a compact camera (later on with my smartphone). It feels good to make and capture memories.

In 2020, I decided to buy a real camera. I chose Olympus, which was perfect for me, because of its lightweight. I love connecting with nature and finding my peace. Photographing became a way of living. Two years ago, I bought the OM-1 Mark II. This camera offers even more features, such as the live ND and GND mode. A feature no other camera offers at this moment, as far as I know.

Sharing my photos on the socials gives such a pleasure. I capture the tiniest details in my macro work. The kind of details people often overlook. Nature gives us gifts that everyone walks past.

I can’t go wrong with these. Besides, I adore all kinds of photography and challenges. I started out with macro, but now I also do a lot of landscape and city/night photography. Sometimes even wildlife, fantastic with the bird eye detection mode on. Switching to different settings is fast and easy with the custom mode C1 up to C4. The setting I use most is Focus Stacking.

I am extremely happy with OM System and would never consider buying another brand.
