What’s in my camera bag – Satoru Tsuji
I am a photographer based in the Yokohama and Kanagawa area of Japan. My photography focuses primarily on “Street Snapshots,” with a particular passion for capturing the “underground” and retro atmosphere of urban night scenes.

For me, the Micro Four Thirds system is the perfect partner. Its compact size allows me to blend into the city streets without being intrusive, and the incredible weather sealing and image stabilization of the OM System allow me to shoot handheld in low-light or rainy conditions, which is essential for my style.

Satoru Tsuji is a cloud infrastructure engineer and street photographer living in Yokohama, Japan. He began his photographic journey in January 2025 when he purchased his first camera, an Olympus E-30. His greatest visual inspiration comes from the movie Joker (starring Joaquin Phoenix), particularly its dark, cinematic atmosphere. He loves wandering the urban streets of Japan, capturing that same gritty, moody aesthetic in his street snapshots.
