Gävle Hamn – Between Steel and Mist
In the harbor of Gävle, the rhythm of work meets the silence of decay.
Among sparks, steel, and sea mist, stories of endurance unfold — human traces within an ever-shifting landscape of machines and memory.
This series was photographed inside the restricted industrial area of the Port of Gävle, Sweden’s largest port on the Baltic coast.
With official permission from Gävle Hamn AB (Port of Gävle), I was granted access to document moments normally hidden from the public eye.
All images in this series have been reviewed and approved for public use by the communications department of Gävle Hamn AB.
“Between Steel and Mist” explores the fragile balance between industry and nature, progress and erosion, labor and poetry.

“I find my models out in nature, stones, root balls, etc. I want to show nature’s beauty to those who are open to seeing it.
My style is dark, evocative and magical. I use long shutter speeds, double exposure and ICM. When you look at one of my pictures, you see one thing. But the more you look, the more you can see in them. Shoots documentary, nature, art and portraits.”
